# Our Ex student’s experience with A maths tuition

“My battle with Mathematics only began when I was in upper secondary with the introduction of algebras, trigonometry and calculus etc. I put on a long struggle trying to strike a relationship with those X and Y. I probably failed 9 out of 10 class tests and with a whim of luck, I scored a just pass 50/100 for my Sec 3 mid term A maths. Hey not bad, at least I passed right? But my parents thought otherwise. It was the last straw for them before they actively seeked help from some A Maths tuition centre. Initially, I was rather against the idea of attending a maths tuition. Like who enjoys right? It’s prolonged school hours, on top of that, I will have more math tuition homework to struggle with.

After much communication, or rather mainly my parents talking only, I went ahead with their tuition arrangement and attended my first math tuition. It wasn’t as dreadful as I pressumed it to be! My very first secondary a maths tutor actually managed to palliate my tensed relationship with A math! In fact, I made a few good friends over at the a maths tuition centre and they were extremely helpful in making me open up and looking forward to every tuition class. I supposed it was easy for people like us (terrible in mathematics) to understand what problems we are facing with certain topics or math questions. Sometimes I feel school teachers no longer comprehend our difficulties as they are too learnt in these math syllables and lacked patience in answering each of us, since they have like 4 or 5 classes of 40 students yearly. However, I’m grateful for my fellow a maths tuition mates and my ever empathatic math tutor who always try his best to relate to my problems. Because my parents signed me up for small a maths tuition class, my tutor had ample time to answer each of our problems. Something like a one to one private tuition, but at a lower cost alternative. It was a privilege that we couldn’t enjoy in school when we had to share our math teacher with other 30 over classmates. So whenever I was stuck in solving certain math questions, I would made a note and bring it to my a maths tuition tutor. It wasn’t long before I saw improvement in my A maths and E maths grade! Well, it didn’t came as a surprise to me as I knew I had received a tremendous amount of help from my a maths tuition tutor. I benefitted a great deal from the complied math notes and detailed step by step solutions (something that my school teacher failed to provide), which I believed help me to score numerous M1 M2 M3 points. Well, many a little makes a mickle! Perhaps, it was this mickle that gained me A2 in my O level A maths.”
