Math Academy is a specialist maths tuition centre in Singapore offering JC H2 Maths tuition and comprehensive secondary programs. We provide targeted foundational bridging in our Sec 1 Maths Tuition and Sec 2 Maths Tuition classes. As students advance, we also offer specialized tracking for Sec 3 and Sec 4 Maths Tuition through our rigorous A Maths Tuition curriculum. Founded in 2001 and still run by the same family, every class is taught by ex-MOE teachers or NUS graduates with degrees in Mathematics. Classes are capped at 9 students, available onsite in Bukit Gombak and online, so your child is never lost in the crowd.

Frequently asked questions: JC H2 Maths tuition Singapore
The earlier the better, but it is never too late. Ideally JC1 from the start, so your child builds the right habits before the pace accelerates. Many students join us mid-JC1 after their common tests, or after promos in JC2. We have helped students go from failing to A within a year.
H2 Math is broader and more rigorous. It covers deeper calculus, vectors, complex numbers, and statistics, and is required for most STEM university courses. H1 covers a lighter syllabus. If your child is aiming for Engineering, Computing, Economics or Sciences at NUS or NTU, H2 Math is typically required.
E Math (Elementary Mathematics) is taken by all students and covers the core O-Level syllabus. A Math (Additional Mathematics) is an optional second maths subject with heavier algebra, calculus and trigonometry, strongly recommended for students aiming for H2 Math in JC or STEM courses. We teach both for Sec 3 and 4.
If your child is considering H2 Math or a STEM path in JC, A Math is strongly recommended, as it covers the calculus, algebra and trigonometry that H2 Math builds directly on, so the jump to JC is far smoother. We teach A Math (Sec 3 and 4) and JC H2 Math under the same roof, so the progression is seamless.
Yes, this is exactly who our Secondary classes are built for. With classes capped at 7 in Lower Secondary and 9 in Upper Secondary, your child's tutor spots gaps early and rebuilds the fundamentals before they harden into habits. Many students join after a disappointing result and leave with the grade they were aiming for.
For most students, yes. A private tutor gives one-to-one attention but no peer dynamic and often no structured curriculum. At Math Academy, classes are capped at 7 to 9 students: small enough for individual guidance, structured enough to follow the full syllabus systematically. You also get recorded lessons and WhatsApp support outside class.
Yes. JC H2 Maths and Sec 3 and 4 A Maths classes are available both onsite at our centre in Bukit Gombak and live on Zoom for students across Singapore. Sec 1 and 2 and E Maths classes are onsite. Contact us to check current availability for your child's level.
Your child joins a class in progress. Lessons follow the school syllabus closely, so they slot in naturally. Each level has its own dedicated tutor: Mr Ian Ang teaches JC H2 Maths and Sec 3 and 4 A Maths, Ms Raine Ang teaches Sec 3 and 4 E Maths, and Sec 1 and 2 classes are taught by Ms Raine Ang and Mrs Yvette Ang. As lessons progress, your child's tutor will pick up on individual gaps and adjust guidance accordingly. There is no lengthy diagnostic test or onboarding process.
