Maths tuition – Is it really needed? Across the world, many people struggle with mathematics and need extra help and guidance outside of the classrooms. But it will come at a cost and that’s what the article is designed for, to show you examples of the rates, specifically the Singaporean tutors – the finest examples of Maths Tutors in the world – and to persuade you into looking into it. The rates for the tuition lessons vary depending on what mathematics level you are currently at.

Ranging from being taught by:

NIE teachers
Private tutors
Full Time or Part-Time Maths teachers
Undergraduate or Graduate teachers

The estimated rates for each of the above are as follows:

Secondary or A Maths Tuition Rates 1 to 1
QualificationRates
A Level/Diploma$20-$30/hr
Undergraduate$30-$50/hr
Degree Holder$50-$60/hr
MOE teacher/Full Time Tutor$90-$150/hr

The rates for a maths tuition from a A level/diploma holder can be anywhere from $20 to $30, however this may not be as beneficial as other alternatives, although it is cheaper than most.

The rates for a maths tuition from an undergraduate tutor can be anywhere from $30 to $50, but may vary from tutor to tutor.

The rates for a maths tuition from an degree holder will be upwards of $50 to $60.

The Full Time tutor fees will range from $90 to $150, but for Part-Time, you can expect that figure to drop, roughly around $60 to $90(*).

You will have to take into account that as you begin to further your education in mathematics, the cost will begin to rise substantially.. Maths tuition costs could rise or fall depending on the tutor’s situation, e.g. if they have to travel to places, the amount of hours they have to put into it – many of whom will charge extra for this – as well as the fact that, as mentioned before, it will definitely vary from tutor to tutor, but you have to take into account how experienced and qualified they are. If you are currently studying at a college and the tutor is only qualified to teach at a primary school level, he/she will be of no use to you. Additionally, the amount of experience they have is vital, if this is his/her first time doing this, you might be spending more time than you first anticipated.

A maths tuition will be able to help you with whatever problem you have, or whatever you are struggling with and although a maths tuition can be expensive for those who are on the poorer side, it will definitely pay off in the long run, as a maths tuition has been proven to increase your grades by a great deal, for those who want to strive for those dream jobs. Additionally, if you’d rather have something a bit closer to home, you will be able to find it at a click of a button. Finally, this article has aimed to inform you of the costs/rates that a maths tuition – specifically in Singapore – and shed a bit of light on the matter.
